Card of the Day - 23rd February 2022

Denita Tizard 23 February 2022

A Choice to Make - Stare into the flame and ask yourself, "Who do I want to be?" from the Seeker Oracle by Ravynne Phelan.

ChoiceToMake

Unlike other mammals who are driven by instinct, we humans have the freedom to choose how we live our lives. Our life's journey is governed by choice, even when we choose not to act, or someone else makes a choice for us.

If you were to stop and count how many choices we were faced with during a single day, we would be counting from the moment we wake to the moment we sleep. With that in mind, ask yourself how many unconscious choices do you make, and how many are made with intent?

Do you use your power wisely? Do you make considered, educated, empowered choices?

The path a seeker walks is paved with choices. Like stepping stones, every choice marks a moment that moved us forward. Every choice we make in the present, moves us along a path to our final destination. Multiple options create a forked path and a more complicated decision to make. Every choice you make will change your life in sometimes subtle and imperceptible ways, and other times in a life-changing way.

Do you believe that you have the power to steer your life in a direction of your choosing? Understanding that to decide that you do not is still a choice.

Yes, there will always be a moment when another person's choice effects us in an unexpected and unanticipated manner. In those moments, we can feel powerless. However, while we may not have the power to change our circumstances, we do have a choice how we react and respond.

You have a choice to make: will you take ownership of that flame, the power to govern your life and determine how you live it? Will you use this power to make choices that will improve your life?

Time to Rise - LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL from the Seeker Oracle by Ravynne Phelan.

TimeToRise

Life is bright with potential and possibility and filled with moments of laughter and delight. But life is not just love and light. We also experience moments when life does not unfold as we had hoped or planned. We experience disappointments and failures that weigh us down and ground us. We become afraid to try again, to fly lest we fail and fall.

Don't allow disappointment and unmet expectations to weigh you down. Be open-hearted. Be kind to yourself. Yes, take ownership, but then re-evaluate your expectations, take stock, and determine when, how and why things went awry. Being afraid to fail is not reason enough not to make another attempt, especially when our mistakes can be studied and learned from. Figure out what went wrong so you can do it right next time. It could also be said that failure is the best possible beginning, because it does serve to ground you. When you fail first, you won't take anything for granted the next time. There's also only one direction in which you can travel when you are at rock bottom, and that's up.

See any failure or disappointment as an opportunity to learn and then put the past being you. Let them be the ashes of what was. Armed with new knowledge and wisdom, be like the phoenix and rise again. It's time to see potential and possibility once more and allow both to lift you to new heights.

Sun Bear - Summon the strength to help steady your spirit; listen to your intuition and let it guide you from the Dreamscape Oracle Deck by Matt Hughes.

SunBear

Sun bears live predominately in Southeast Asia, where they prefer to spend most of their time watching from trees. The distinctive golden chest patch embodies the warmth and life of our sun. The Sun Bear is considered the embodiment of spiritual power and strength. The intuition and self-reflection help one to heal through harmony and balance. As part of the Ursidae family, they also share common spiritual traits of intuition and introspective. The strength of Bear medicine is seated in the power to restore harmony and balance - to heal. Many cultures call the Bear Spirit as the Great Healer.

Tiger - Overcome adversity through personal power; have a strong will to push through bad times from the Dreamscape Oracle Deck by Matt Hughes.

tiger

Tigers are some of the most recognizable cats from all over the world. They are territorial, mostly solitary, but social when they go hunting. Cultures over the world fear their ferocity and view tigers as a formidable force. Many people call upon the tiger energy to overcome obstacles and reclaim their personal power. With their dwindling habitat, they have adapted to the constant changes humanity places upon them. Call upon Tiger when you are dealing with adverse situations that need your assistance. Show your strength and don't back down until you know when things are in your favour. #FuckYeah

The Architect - Create your own life; use your mental powers to manifest desires from the Dreamscape Oracle Deck by Matt Hughes.

Architect

The Architect is a mysterious figure. Their eyes are wide open, yet blurred by the state of flow. They honour the creative state, which holds the key to unlock the plan made inside their mind. When the Architect begins a new idea they close their eyes and give into the creation within. When they have the item fully formed in their mind's eye they can work their magic to make it a reality. Directing the power required to make magic happen. Their hands are relaxed, releasing the energy of the Architect's design. They have the ability to manifest their divine will. A butterfly hovers bringing new creations and designs to their capability.

White Buffalo - Time to restore harmony to the world; be mindful of your spirituality in your life from the Dreamscape Oracle Deck by Matt Hughes.

White Buffalo

The White Buffalo bought the sacred traditions to the indigenous American peoples. She stepped from the clouds to help the Lakota people survive. The White Buffalo holds a sacred pipe filled with tobacco as a peace offering. The six feathers which hang off the shaft represent one of the six rites she showed her people. The seventh rite hangs off from her black hair. She wears the pelt of a white buffalo, the honoured beast that gifted her name. The arrival of the White Buffalo is a sign of restoring harmony and spirituality to a troubled world or life. Follow traditions that bring nature back into balance. Do your part to make a change in our environment.
